How it works

Four steps, no phone tag

  1. 1

    Send the request

Machine, site and dates. Takes a minute, and you do not need to know the model number.

  2. 2

We check the machine is free

Against our own job schedule. If the one you picked is out, we will offer the nearest size that is not.

  3. 3

You get an approval and a quote

By email, with the rental, the float out and the float back all priced, plus the rental agreement to sign and the insurance we need from you.

  4. 4

    We deliver

To your site on our own lowbeds, or you collect at Sunnyside. We walk around the machine with you and photograph it before it goes to work.

Two ways to rent

Take the machine, or take the machine and an operator

Most rental yards only do the first. We run this equipment every day, so we can send someone who knows it.

Bare rental Dry
  • You get the machine and operate it yourself
  • Day, week and four-week terms
  • You carry the operating risk — damage, misuse, site safety
  • We rent only to operators experienced on that class
  • Best for contractors and landscapers with their own crews
With a DJN operator Wet
  • Machine plus a trained DJN operator
  • Priced hourly with a four-hour minimum call-out
  • We carry responsibility for safe operation; you direct the work
  • Best for homeowners, builders, short jobs and specialised machines
  • Scheduled around our own crews — tell us the dates early

Say which you want on the form and the quote comes back priced that way. If you are not sure, pick “not sure” and we will tell you which is cheaper for the job.

The quote

What you get back

One email, everything in it. No published rate card, because the right number depends on how long you need it, where it is going and whether you want an operator.

The rental

Priced for the term you asked for — day, week or four weeks — with the hour allowance stated and the overtime rate stated, so a long day holds no surprise.

Getting it there and back

Mobilisation and demobilisation, quoted per trip from our yard to your site address. That is why the form asks where it is going. Collect it yourself and both drop off.

The conditions

Fuel, cleaning, the insurance certificate we need, the deposit, and what happens if it breaks down. Written out before you commit, not after.

Request a machine

Tell us about the job

Three short steps. We reply by email with the approval and the quote.

1 What you need

2 Where and when

3 Who we're replying to

Goes straight to our estimating desk. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged until you have the quote and have signed the rental agreement.

Questions

Before you ask

Why are there no prices on the page?

Because a number on a page is nearly always the wrong number. What you pay turns on the term, whether you want an operator, how far the float runs and what attachments go with it. Send the request and you get a real figure for your job, usually the same day.

How fast do you come back to me?

Requests in before 2 pm on a business day are answered the same day. After that, the next morning. If it is urgent, call 204-222-4021 and say it is a rental.

Am I committed to anything by sending this?

No. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged until you have the quote in writing and have signed the rental agreement.

What is mobilisation and demobilisation?

Trucking the machine to your site and collecting it afterwards. We quote both ways from our yard at Sunnyside, which is why we ask for the site address rather than just the town. Collect it on your own trailer and neither applies.

Can I tow it myself?

Yes, if your trailer and tow vehicle are rated for it. Transport weight is on every machine page. If in doubt, ask in the notes and we will tell you straight.

What insurance do I need?

Commercial general liability plus rented-equipment coverage, with DJN Services named as loss payee. Tick the box on the form and we will tell you where to send the certificate.

What if it breaks down?

Stop, make it safe and call us. If it is mechanical failure rather than misuse, you are not charged for the downtime and we will get you going or swap the machine.

Do you rent through the winter?

Yes. Cold-weather starting and block heaters are covered at handover, and we will say honestly if a machine is the wrong choice for frozen ground.
